After more than 20 years based in Kilbarrack, Naomh Barróg has now become Donaghmede Chess Club.

The club has moved to a new venue at Trinity Sports and Leisure Centre, Donaghmede, and a new club night of Thursday, with junior meetings at 18.00 and regular meetings at 19.30. The club continues to welcome players of all abilities, from beginners to advanced.

The 2nd Annual Irish Women's Chess Festival 2026 will take place 23rd - 26th October in the Talbot Hotel Stillorgan. Entries are now open for the following events:
