FIDE RATED Bangor City Centre Summer Rapid 2026
Rounds are played back-to-back from 18:15 to 20:45
Tuesday 18 August 2026
Players must be seated 5 minutes before the start time of round 1.
IMPORTANT
If travelling from Republic of Ireland, postcodes in Northern Ireland are different from Eircodes. A postcode covers an entire road. To get to venue, you must copy and paste this entire address into SatNav:
Marquis hall, Castle Park, 5 Abbey Street, Bangor, BT20 4JE
There is a small 'pay and display' car park beside the venue but players are advised to arrive early if needing a parking space as there are only 38 spaces in total. Parking spaces at this spot are very cheap and only cost 2.40 GBP per day (this is the 7-8 hours rate) but it only takes coins so please remember to bring enough coins. Alternatively there is also a 'pay and display' car park opposite Bangor Bus+Train Station (3 minutes walk from venue)
Players needing hotel accommodation. The nearest hotel is the Premier Inn at Castle Park, 5 minute walk from the venue.
